Mine site Ost and Pelkum / Wiescherhoefen
When the colliery Ost in Hamm closed down in 2010, after 109 years of mining, a discussion about the use of the mine site began. Two years later the first milestone was set with a feasibiltity study on possible future scenarios by Urban Catalyst studio. Now we are working on an urban development outline plan for the mine site and the neighbouring quarters Pelkum and Wiecherhoefen.
